The tugboat SJP 01 is a ship owned by PT Sinar Haluan Samudera which functions to push barges loaded with coal. This ship originally used a Nissan diesel 8DC10 300hp x 2 engine and a B4-85 type propeller. Over time, this engine often broke down so it was replaced with a new engine, a Mitsubishi S6A3 MPTK 600hp x 2 type and a B4-70 propeller. Apart from reducing the level of damage, engine replacement is expected to increase the speed from the initial speed. During the sea trial, this engine change only achieved a speed of 12 knots or an increase of 20% from the initial speed. As for the calculation results of various speed schemes A, B, C and D which are appropriate and effective, namely scheme A which gets 12 knots from each propeller giving a speed of 6 knots
