Publication Ethics
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
Publishing in the IAKP Journal is essential to uphold the integrity of academic research. It reflects the quality of both the authors' work and the supporting institution. All involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—must adhere to high ethical standards to ensure the reliability and credibility of the scholarly record.
As a publication managed by Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis, the IAKP Journal follows principles of transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Editorial independence is maintained, free from commercial influence.
1. Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief decides which manuscripts to publish based on their originality, clarity, and academic contribution. Decisions follow journal policies and legal standards (e.g., copyright, plagiarism). Editors may consult with other board members or reviewers as needed.
2. Fair Evaluation
Manuscripts are evaluated on their academic merit, without bias related to the author's race, gender, religion, or political views. The editorial team ensures a fair, impartial review process.
3. Confidentiality
Manuscripts are treated confidentially and shared only with those directly involved in the publication process (e.g., reviewers, editors).
4. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished materials for their own research without the author’s permission and must disclose conflicts of interest. They should recuse themselves if a conflict arises.
Duties of Reviewers
