Journal History
INOVISH JOURNAL: Journal of Language, Innovation, and English Language Teaching was established as an academic platform dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and scholarly dialogue in the fields of linguistics, language education, and English Language Teaching (ELT). The journal was initiated and is managed by the English Department of State Polytechnic of Bengkalis, and is run and supported by P3M (Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis. This collaboration reflects the institution’s commitment to promoting high-quality research and community engagement in language and education.
Since its inception, the journal has served as an avenue for researchers, educators, practitioners, and students to share their insights, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings on the dynamic roles of language in communication, education, and innovation. The inaugural issue was launched in June, marking the beginning of its biannual publication schedule in June and December each year.
Over the years, INOVISH JOURNAL has expanded its scope to accommodate diverse topics within linguistics, ELT, and English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Its thematic coverage includes, but is not limited to, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, morphology, syntax, semantics, semiotics, curriculum development, literature, language skills, and other areas related to language teaching and learning.
The journal continues to uphold rigorous academic standards, peer-reviewed publication processes, and an inclusive approach by welcoming contributions from both internal and external scholars. Supported by P3M Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis, INOVISH JOURNAL remains committed to fostering creativity and innovation in language studies and ensuring that each publication reflects scholarly excellence and practical relevance for the academic and professional community.
