Manuscript Types

1. General Provisions

Inovbiz : Jurnal Inovasi Bisnis is a scientific publication focusing on the development of knowledge through innovation in the fields of economics, business, and management. This journal serves as a platform for writers, researchers, academics, and practitioners to publish their research findings, theoretical or critical studies, as well as original and up-to-date ideas that contribute to the advancement of modern economic and business practices.

Every submitted manuscript must be an original work, must not have been previously published as a journal article, and must not be under simultaneous consideration by another journal. All manuscripts are assessed based on disciplinary relevance, novelty, methodological quality, scholarly contribution, and compliance with publication ethics.

2. Original Research Article

An original research article is a scholarly work that presents original research findings using quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, experimental, descriptive, comparative, corpus analysis, discourse analysis, or other research methods relevant to language and literary studies.

An original research article must include, at a minimum:

  1. A title that reflects the research focus.
  2. An abstract and keywords.
  3. An introduction explaining the background, research problem, research gap, and research objectives.
  4. A research methods section explaining the design, data sources, data collection techniques, and analytical procedures.
  5. Research results presented systematically.
  6. A discussion interpreting the findings and relating them to the scholarly literature.
  7. A conclusion addressing the research objectives and explaining the contributions or implications of the findings.
  8. Relevant and verifiable references.

Original research articles must demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution and employ methods appropriate to the research problem.

3. Review Article

A review article presents a critical synthesis of developments in knowledge, theories, concepts, approaches, or research findings within a field relevant to the journal’s scope.

Review articles may take the form of systematic reviews, integrative reviews, scoping reviews, or critical reviews, provided that the methods and approaches employed are explained transparently.

Review articles must have clear questions or objectives, a defensible strategy for searching and selecting literature, in-depth analysis, and a contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

Manuscripts that merely summarize several sources without critical synthesis and a clear academic contribution do not meet the standards for review articles.

4. Requirements for All Manuscript Types

All manuscripts must:

  1. Align with the journal’s focus and scope.
  2. Use appropriate and consistent academic language.
  3. Follow the formatting requirements and manuscript template established by the journal.
  4. Include relevant scholarly references.
  5. Adequately explain data sources and research procedures.
  6. Comply with requirements concerning originality, research ethics, authorship, and conflicts of interest.
  7. Undergo all stages of editorial evaluation and peer review.

5. Editorial Screening and Decisions

Each manuscript is initially screened by the editor to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope, completeness of administrative requirements, basic substantive quality, and compliance with publication ethics.

Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements may proceed to peer review. The journal reserves the right to request revisions, reject manuscripts, or discontinue the editorial process if a manuscript fails to meet scientific standards and publication ethics requirements.

Article acceptance is based entirely on scientific merit and editorial decisions.
